Eastleigh Borough Council go ahead and kill this poor 70 year old tree and betray the people of Eastleigh. A council that claims to care about the environment and climate change. Well see how green they really are.

Of course money changed hands. This was a massive fiddle. How can the council consider planning applications from itself. The Point and the Arts Council made sure that people like Irish, Thomas, Moore, Davis-Dear and Head were going to get something out of it. God knows the people of Eastleigh will not get anything out of it. They broke every council rule in the book including 58B.E which forbids building on the recreation ground and cutting down high ameity trees.

Just out of curiosity, did you and your allies consider legal action against the council??

Yes, I reported them and their actions to the Standards Board and the Goverment for the South East (GOSE), but what a waste of time, it made no difference as they all belong to the same "Old Boy's Club".

That one small reason why I am in New Zealand now mate. A long list of things like that.Here at least the pioneer spirit lives on. People are positive and outgoing. The establishment is not as strong here. everything is so PC in England now. I feel bad for Eastleigh after what happened. All that aside, I still want to design some buildings in eastleigh. I will be back one day. Just keep standing up for yourself and the towns people, you did a great job and don't be too hard on yourself.

Im not entirely sure to be honest not really my forte but this just seems a bit much for one tree.

maybe instead of putting so much effort into stopping something on such a small scale maybe look to international deforestation and better apply your skills elsewhere.

make a difference instead of a nuisance and people may take you more seriously.
