He also mentions (I don't know if it was in this video or another), that humor is a quick way to go into a creative line of thought. So teachers with humor is theoretically more likely to do well with creative solutions than solemn teachers.

Well, teachers have time during their break times, such as the summer break, Christmas break, semestral break, etc, where they can work on their lesson plans uninterrupted. And with every year, they add ideas of what works and what doesn't work with students to their lesson plans, creating better and better ways to teach the lesson. They also have time during their breaks in between classes and when they go home to think about the problems that arise.
At least that's the ideal teacher.

Woah, wait a sec.
Before talking about Teachers, John Cleese said that to be creative in your work, you absolutely positively need your own space and time, uninterrupted.
But how come the teachers would ever have such a chance, for they have to deal with the situation and come up with a creative solution while facing the constantly interrupting factor, which is the pupil?
I am not a teacher and will never be one, but this thing suddenly got me. I remember how bad it was with me and my teach.
