Having spent 20 years in business, I can tell you Washington doesn't exactly run like a business. Unlike most of the folks there, I'm not a lawyer or a career politician, so no matter how long I spend there, I will never understand why we fund rain forests in Iowa or a bridge to no where in Alaska. It would be cheaper to buy every Iowan an airplane ticket to see a real rain forest. It's outrageous. That's why I'm leading the effort to get the President, whether a Republican or a Democrat, a line-item veto so they can take the junk out of these bills, hold Congress accountable and get spending under control.
