Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Multidrive from Empress, available here at proguitarshop.com! This virtual Swiss army knife of dirt boxes is actually 3 pedals in one and it has some expanding features that just might blow your mind. The key to this multifunctional pedal is how Empress has wired the Fuzz, Overdrive and Distortion effects. Instead of just stacking them in series, which sometimes ends up like a tone blender, the Empress Multidrive is wired in parallel. It's essentially like playing through 3 different amps at once for a rich, complex tone. In the studio, it's not uncommon to record a single guitar going through different amps to capture the thickest tone possible and that's essentially what the Empress Multi Drive does for you. The Select switch toggles between two of your favorite preset combinations set with the internal dip switches, making this pedal perfect for live gigs too. Best of all, Empress keeps the Multidrive l00% analog and uses true bypass switching and high grade components and construction. http://proguitarshop.com/store/effects-distortion-pedals-c-602_12/empress-eff...

  • @fullmetalfunk There is no "first" because they are in parallel! Think of them as separate lanes of a highway. They are mixed together at the output.

  • @mikeabecerra Pedals are not in HD but guitars and amps are. Thanks for watching,

  • This pedal is gold.

  • house of pain... nice

  • You nailed the "Yellow" solo! Great man!

  • Is it me or the Multidrive totally kills palm mutes? When I palm mute using my amp's distortion they sound really good, but with the Multidrive they lose the oomph, I know id definitely not the amp. Have you experienced this with yours? Did I buy the wrong pedal? Just listen to the beginning of this demo.

  • 2:47 ♪ I see them...'round the front way, and I know, and I know...I don't wanna stay at all... ♪

  • Got my Multidrive, and this thing is AWESOME! Even after all of the youtube demos, I was blown away at how many tones this pedal delivers. The three distortion settings alone are like having three pedals in one, not to mention the OD and fuzz. The tweed voiced OD is responsive, authentic, and stacks perfectly with my Blackout Effectors Twosome. Endless beautiful dirt in this pedal! I've had a lot of drive pedals over the years, and this one smokes 'em all!

  • Pearl Jam!!!

  • anyone know how multidrive would compare with skreddy lunar ? thanks

  • Im planning to buy this for kinda raw-grunge type sound but also with blues edge to it. Kinda TCV,QoTSA,SP,Nirvana, Foos and White Stripes.Good?

  • Looks awesome! Sounds awesome! Thank you guys at PGS for makin these demos. You really save me alot of time going and playing stuff at the store, if they even stock the item. My local music store never has anything in stock! Last two pedals I bought had to come right out of the display case and they never have anything really high end-boutique like Empress. These demos are so well made and give you a great idea of what you're getting, it allows for more confident web purchases. Keep 'em coming!
