Originally, I intended this song to be in memory of all the singers that had fallen from grace and passed on before their time. I always wondered why they achieved so much fame and fortune only to die so young. This song was not originally intended for Selena specifically. But as I kept writing the song, I kept thinking about Selena and how her life and career were cut short so tragically and needlessly. The lyrics were written at random and are not intended to be biographical of Selena. It's just everytime I hear this song, I think of her. That's all.
