Diagnosis: Missing a part of brain stem that made it impossible for her to breath on her own. She had deformities that made her not compatible with life.

After 16 days in the NICU, Gigi died.

Her parents have dedicated their lives to raising funds for "The Peapod Project" which assists families in sharing and collecting memories of their children.

According to Annette, the process is critical to a family who is saying goodbye to their child as often times these are the only items that they have to keep their child's memory alive.

They cherish their few items from Gigi's life which include ink foot prints, photos, and lockets.

UPDATE: Annette and Ted still run "The Peapod Project" in memory of Gigi. Their annual run/walk to raise funds for "The Peapod Project" was held on August 28th. It gives Annette and Ted great joy that they have all the photos and memories from Gigi's 16 days of life at Children's Memorial.
