I have had that too... I also get this thing like a bug is in my ear... Different then just regular ringing...

@grrgirl96 yeah! same here! it drives me mad. I have to have someone with me at all times so I can make sure I don't shove something in my ear. Believe me, it won't fix it haha it's just sound messages your brain is receiving. There are no bugs so don't try to get them out! I cut my ear digging at it in the middle of the night once. I heard of some lymies who shoved Q-tips or pencils in their ears. So be careful.

I don't know of anything to help tinnitus. I've had it everysingle day, hour, minute of my life and nothing makes it go away. It is very common for Lymies to experience this. I'm sorry you're suffering from this. Are you on Zithromax? That can make it worse for some people.

@SellyNue Thanks for the heads up. No, I'm not on any sort of treatment right now. Might be detoxing in the hot weather though.

aparently if you like inhale steammmm through your mouth it helps because your middle ear is blocked my loads of mucas to give you the sound asif you have loads wax it is crackling and if you rub just under your ear it makes the noise sound worse, i have it buthavnt tried this remedy but im going to tomorrow causee i saw it on google :)

I have cracking noise for 3 yeat. I tried to record it.And the sound can be hear in the recorder

I have crackling in my ears and brain fog too! I wonder if they are both liked some how, I have read about ears being linked to brain fog. Also have you found a cure?

everytym i swallo i hear this weird (loud tho) crackling sound. ive had this for two tears 9lol n now im thinkin of seein a doctor) it drives me INNNSSSSAAAAAAAAAAANEEEEEEEE!!­. plzz if neone noes ne kindof of treatment (temporary even if ders no permamnent tment) plz msg me. n i wanna be sure - this dsnt cause deafness does it. it happens only wen i swallow n rarely when i yawn........

@LymieGirl Yea...I take Carbamazepine and Alprazolam and it has help manage the condition pretty well....better see an ENT and ask for his opinion on this
