yep she was a monster! Barber couldn't think of a theme for the last movement, the rest of the sonata was done, Horowitz had to give the premiere in a short while. Wanda said angrily to Barber:" you are a constipated composer" this annoyed him, and sterted improvizing in an angry way at the piano and came up with this fugue! So I read in "Evenings with Horowitz" by Dubal

A fugue which may have never been written if it was not for Wanda Toscanini Horowitz and her temper.
