Kuching is one of my favourite Asian Capitals. I think it is a very easy place to travel for Westerners and is a great base to explore the Borneo Interior.

I also review the backpackers accommodation I am staying at, The B and B Inn. I've been here for a few weeks and feel they do a number of things right with regard to tourist accommodation.

The B and B Inn is the first registered inn catering for backpackers in Kuching. A lot of backpacker's accommodation in Kuching are not registered and can lead to problems with travel insurance if things go wrong, e.g. fire

  • Superb Video Mark! Have made a big note of this place and wrote down the hotel contact info. Certainly a place I would want to stay! Thanks for the info. Best, Bob

  • @ArizonaBob Thanks Bob, it's an older hotel, but the price is good and I just like the little extras, like good wi-fi, a desk and regular cleaning. I'm easy pleased, but really I don't see the point on spending big on accom. I just need clean sheets and no bed bugs ;)

  • Hi Mark nice to see you here..good vide asual....

  • @KHUSBUDIGITALVIDEO thanks Brother Mountain

  • Great video...... I am a proud Kuchingnite!

  • Do you get paid to do this? It seems very good. But I think if you are talking about making your video popular, you should stick to what you did earlier.

  • @overlander Sounds good. Looking forward to seeing those.

  • Nice video. I was never in Kuching, Though I stayed in Kalimantan - the opposite side of the island in Indonesia. I like following your travels and your concept of a "digital nomad". It's been awhile since I've been around the world but gearing up to do it again. Thanks for inspiring.

  • great video! i agree with everything you said and i really enjoyed my stay at B&B inn as well! great place! this city was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Borneo and it was also my first which was really nice. B&B Inn FTW!

  • @zhanknight thanks, I'm actually looking into using geo arbitrage to outsource my editing. Part of this trip is exploring the exciting possibilities of digital nomadism and I think it will be interesting to see what happens if I give other cultures the opportunity to edit some work. Will their humour be the same, will the indian contingent add 'bollywood' dance scenes? :)

  • @overlander Maybe.. not as much as you, though! Also, I want to echo what pdrop said, you do these solo videos so well, it's really impressive.

  • @pdrop Cheers Pete, your new series is really kicking it, well done
