  • Hi, it's me again. I'm a noob playing this lovely piece of wood with strings. I'd like to make you a question. In 0.53 when u are making an obstinate in E string, it sounds like slaping wood too, but your left hand it doesn't seems to hit nothing more than the string, is ur right hand hitting on the hiden part of the video?, How can u get that sound? Thank u!

  • @PericoXic I think it's perhaps one of my left hand finger that hit accidently the fingerboard before slap it.I never use my right hand to make a slap noise.

  • Nice! Are those gut strings?

  • @muzicboy99 No they aren't.Check the reply I made to thevoodoo57 above.

  • are the strings nylon, gut,? I like the warm sound you have, I know the bass has a great deal to do with it, but there are different types of strings out there that help with the sound, do you know the type?

    Thank you.

  • @thevoodoo57 these strings were prototypes of the strings I make, the mark is Cordes Lambert.Check out the definitive version of this Gut-twin'47 set on these videos : "Slap That Blues" and "Cordes Lambert : Gut-Twin 47 Definitive Version" at my channel.

They are from our special nylon. The set is plain D&G with wrapped E&A.

    Hope it helps.

  • I've watched this about 20 times so cool!

  • I love the part between 0:21 and 0:26, it sounds Great.

  • Really inspiring! Thank ur videos! Now I have one hand bigger than the other...I hope that practising will get my hand strong enough to handle that. It's difficult to toake care of my hand and fingers. Now it's gradually increasing it's size hahaha, but it's worth enough to keep trying!

  • @TheSwitchbladesband Well, any serious bass player cares a lot. The sound makes the music. ;)

    Really awesome work.

  • amazing!!!
