Headed up Hwy 2, the Givi trunk fell off near Baring, WA after the FJR hit a rather bumpy expansion joint for the bridge deck.

This 400 mile loop started in Monroe, WA. East on Hwy 2 to Cashmere. Hwy 97 south to Ellensburg then to Naches on Canyon Road. Then West on Hwy 12 to White Pass. The remaining leg was northbound on Hwy 410 by Mt. Rainier and a variety of roads back up toward Monroe.

  • Where was this at? It is very beautiful. Also, it sounds like the clutch was slipping when you passed that truck. Where you playing with the clutch?

  • @stageleftblues This 400 mile loop was in the Cascade mountains in Washington. See further details in the description I just added.

Yes, my K1100RS clutch was slipping. It was out of adjustment.

  • Get the yamaha brand they will stay with you!!!

  • I've had this happen to me twice, the second time it was damaged so bad I couldn't use it any more. I'm leery about getting another one since I don't have $275 to throw away every 6-8 months.
