  • Intersting note about him being a lefty. If you listen to his introduction to the song "Broken Fingers", he describes an incident where he (and others) fell victim to a terrorist bombing. This explosion affected his right hand so Sam taught himself to play left-handed.

  • It ranks very high on my list as well. Sam is an incredible songwriter and a great guy. I hope he receives the success he deserves (or as much of it as he desires anyway...)

  • It's true: Sam wasn't naturally a lefty. After the accident (following which, several times, he was literally at death's door) because his LEFT hand (not the right, BTW) was busted, he had to teach himself to play again left-handed. He can hold a plectrum w/ the left hand, but he needs the right to fret on the keyboard. He is beyond remarkable in his determination and indeed, general outlook on life.

  • Blood and Diamonds beautiful.
