supermouse was created about four years ago by injecting a highly active form of a gene for an enzyme called phosphonenolpyruvate carboxykinase (PEPCK-C) into a mouse embryo

(Un)fortunately this genetic modification is pretty far from being ready for human use. Decreasing aggression should be the least of anyone's worries if they plan to do this experiment with humans. The IGF-1 over-expression used to create Schwarzenegger mice, another strain of genetically altered mice, was tested in higher animals with results ranging from negligible to animal death.

I found out this mouses' run is the equivalent of a cyclist traveling AT SPEED up an alpine mountain without taking a break.

Before envisioning human mutations or drug design (and without jumping to big conclusions), it is worth considering that dietary carbohydrate restriction requires that you have greater reliance on gluconeogenesis for which PEPCK is the key enzyme so the results bear on low carbohydrate diets.
