i'm delighted to hear there are people still calling themselves Nuba in the North, I thought they all call themselves Arabs. I just don't understand what is so good about Arab that everyone in the North thought they are Arab, even though they are clearly not Arabs. I have been to some real arab countries, and they do look completely different from those in Northern Sudan.

Majur2008, Yes it's pity that many of my fellow Nubians in northern Sudan victimized by a warped up history and lost their original identity! Nubians magnificent history distorted by the organized Arabization campaign over the last centuries. It's a conquerers rule! Now in northern Sudan there are wonderful young men and women reviving their Nubian culture and differentiated them self from Arabs. Correction revolution to our distorted history and identity just begun.
