Once dubbed Britain's Dirtiest Hospital, the years have not been kind, its old, decaying & smelly.
The lower floors are in almost total darkness, the top floor although better light wise is very wet & stinky.
Everything has been stripped out, its just the shell.
The camera is a bit shaky because I hurt my arm failing to get into the Chocolate Factory at Greenbank (thats my excuse anyway

Just a heads up to anyone thinking of going, me my boyfriend and a friend went last Sunday around 8pm, it was completely quiet in the street outside so we parked up and cut through the forest instead of walking right past the security office and jumping the gate. We explored the main hospital and surrounding buildings but on our return we were caught by a security guard with a huge police dog and a police man who searched us and went through all our cameras. Lol .. Barrow Hospital . Spent my student nursing days at that place from 2000 to 2003.
Previous , My mother was was a patient there in eighties..
That place has so much memories ,, Even the free hospital nurses bus from the BRI in time to do my early shifts (Pissed from partying the night before - Thank god greggs open in the early in the mornings back then.

we got in quite easily although there was gaurds or workmen on site they were easily avoided.
