I can see how that makes sense. I was also thinking too that the child has grown so much in the time the mother had been on the net, that she was never be able to experience that part of his life anymore? So the chair was taken away as a reminder that she missed out in that vital time of his childhood.

That took a year to realize, haha!

@Bunnzilla I know it's a little late but I have a clue about the chair. The chair was used for her son or her family in other words. When the chair and laptop were taken away, it would serve as a reminder to the woman that she had sacrificed both things once upon a time. In the end, she would remember her choice: to leave the net for her family. I hope that helps.
