This film, this music, transports those of us who grew up in the old Africa magically back to there, and then. Growing up in the African bush was very special. I wrote my story in 'Speak Swahili, Dammit!'

Outstanding film. Among my favorites. Few topics are as romantic and somehow tragic than British imperialism in wild and dangerous landscapes. Weave in excellent acting, superb music and breathtaking panoramas, and Out of Africa becomes a classic film.
