Ive fished with this rig before. Its GREAT around docks and overhangs during the summer when bass start to hold tight to cover/shade. My only complaint is that the rattle package that came with the kit I bought makes the bait fall nose-down instead of horrizontally. Doesnt seem to effect how it fishes too much though.

Im not sure what difference it will make, but there is also quite a bit of pressure, from people fishing off of the bank for the trout that they stock.

why dont u use a baitcaster roger?

@longislandbassfishin they do not fit my fishing style as well as spinning. I do fish with bait casters but much more of the time I use spinning. I have landed 9 pound bass with spinning rod.

Spring is coming fast, and i have a question for ya Roger. Im 16, and i have limited access to good fishing spots. However, there is a lake closeby, and its only 55 surface acres. It does have a good self sustaining bass population, and i was just wondering, around mid march, where will i need to be looking for bass? Will they be up shallow, looking for beds, or is it too early? Im lost on this one man. Thanks alot. Great videos. Keep them coming.

Focus on the north shoreline (it gets more sun). Look for shallow wood like logs or downed trees. Fish the shady side of the wood. Also if you have shore line brush with about two feet of water try that. look for areas like small bays on the north shore. The water will be warmer there! Use tube jigs, senko and Jig ang craw worm. Fish in the afternoon for warmer water. Also docks can be good in the spring. The pan fish love docks in the spring and the bass will not be far away!

if you set the hook inside the tube wont that make it harder to get the hook in the bass mouth? just curious

You will have no problem with hook sets with tube jigs. The plastic on tubes is thin and it's not any problem landing bass fishing this way!
