@DrGlitterhouse - Strangely enough, the opening bars to this theme is technically the "original" - it goes back to George Sanders' Saint movies from the 1930's and - especially - Vincent Price's radio adaptations. I must agree though, the '62 and '66 themes were much better suited to the Moore era.

@ssosmcin - Even though I'm partial to the 1962 and 1966 themes, the opening bars of this arrangement is technically the "original" - it goes back to the RKO pictures with George Sanders as The Saint, though the arrangement didn't sound quite like the '67 theme until Vincent Price's radio adaptation of The Saint from the 1940's. You'll be surprised when you hear it.

Great 60's big -band sound,complete with(Star Trek-style)opera singer.
The pop-art (patrick calfield)inspired images are also enigmatic.

The movie with Val Kilmer was a poor remake.

Please respond before Saturday the 30th , thats the last day that i can return the set.

I uploaded three different opening themes from the saint (both features films and the last season) but I had to remove the clips because the owner rights asked me to. They didn't for the ending credits. But I don't have the full version.

If those annoying voiceovers of today had occurred in the sixties and seventies when these classic TV themes were around the perpetrators would have been taken out and hung from the nearest TV mast!

I love the alternate, later version of the theme. Very underrated by people who were too used to the original. :-)
