Violent Resistance

A paradigm of problem-reaction-solution is currently being promoted. Yet the public are unaware of the origins. e.g. Iran is promoted as a terrorist state. Yet the CIA's involvement in the overthrow of the democratically elected government in 1954 to protect oil company interests is never openly discussed by those in power. The oppression & inequality wrought by the Shah directly lead to the "Islamic" revolution. The ordinary people of Iran want control over their own lives and freedom from government oppression much as the people of the United States. This then becomes the "problem" that the U.S. government needs to solve, and yet they created the conditions for the problem to arise in the first place.

So in other words, have a revolution thinking you're getting freedom, but get some authoritarian statist instead. Then, said uthoritarian statist has to kill many people (including people who helped him to get into power) running roughshod over everyone.
