From the T.A.M.I. Show, 1964. James Brown makes a spectacular entrance to kick of his segment of the show. The poor Rolling Stones had to follow this.

  • @Thelookoutslookout Well spotted. You're absolutely right, of course. It made me laugh listening to it again and noticing the bum note. Thanks.

  • @esseen100 Jagger wished he could "Move like James" !!!

  • JAMES BROWN & THE FAMOUS FLAMES were like TOUGH STREET FIGHTERS !!! The STONES COULDN'T TOUCH 'EM ...NOT ON THEIR BEST DAY !!!

  • @williamg2552 Amen!

  • CONGRATULATIONS to The Mighty FAMOUS FLAMES for their induction into the 2012 class of THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME !!! Bobby Byrd, Bobby Bennett, Lloyd Stallworth, and Johnny Terry (not pictured). Should have been inducted with James Brown in 1986 !!!

  • @esseen100 Did you check out an inspired Mick Jagger after standing in the wings watching J.B give a thorough demonstration of why he's a hard act to follow? Ha haaaaa!

  • When I was a kid, my mother wore out about 8 "45's" of this song, I mean wore 'em slick, from the first on the Smash label, and finally on the King label, cause "there's no doubt it's outta sight!"

  • @texassoul you know prior to this point in the show there had been an argument over who would follow who, and the rolling stones "won the toss", J.B made 'em pay didn't he? OOOOh Wee!!! And that was just the 1st song of the set

  • Moves like.... "Jagger?!?"

  • @Thelookoutslookout When James would catch someone screwing up, he would frequently look at them and say "I got you!"....then the fine came.

  • @RevBilly54 I heard from a reliable source that Mick didn't want to go out on stage when he saw James Brown's incredible dancing! That's when Mick did the chicken strut, because he felt like he had to dance.
