Bravo is to take a journey deep into the sordid underbelly of rock 'n' roll with a brand new documentary series following the young, dynamic and dangerous punk rock band Towers of London as they launch their bid for mega-stardom.

'The Towers of London', a major 10-part series due to tx. on the 19th October, is an intense, no holds barred glimpse of the dizzying highs and devastating lows of life on the road. Cameras have followed the band over the last nine months as they rampage through tours of the UK and US in their own inimitable style.

Forget the whimsical ramblings of Pete Doherty, Towers of London are five young men with big hair, big dreams and an even bigger attitude. Already having gained a notorious reputation among promoters for wild rock 'n' roll antics which have left them banned from scores of venues across the country, Towers of London live the rock 'n' roll dream to the max, leaving a trail of carnage and destruction in their wake.

During the series their gigs range from being bottled off stage in Norfolk, to being personally chosen by Guns 'N' Roses -- the unrivalled world experts in debauched rock 'n' roll bad behaviour -- to open their UK arena tour. Off-stage the action is just as dramatic as we see the Towers drink, fight and get arrested -- usually all in the same evening.

Towers of London, who will open the main stage at this year's Reading and Leeds festivals, mix the rock dumbness of Motley Crue with the raw power of the Sex Pistols. At their core is the incendiary combination of the Tourette brothers -- singer Donny -- cocky showoff, babe magnet and the perfect frontman - and his axe hero brother Dirk. They are joined by the enigmatically-named The Rev on lead guitar with Tommy Brunette on bass and drummer Snell.

The show that turns the volume right up to 11, 'The Towers of London' is a full-frontal assault on the senses and essential viewing for anyone who has ever wondered if they could hack it in a band yearning for rock superstardom.

  • Music for thickos and people with no imagination.

  • they wont get a hit

  • @Quack3r just joking a minute ago to be fair, I think you could overintellectualise it..stik some black flag or bad brains on and this and it kinds pales I agree...I would differ with you in that I wouldnt say punk is about the message..Its abouyt the feeling, something which is more direct than a message...?

  • @Quack3r Think your overintellectualising punk tbh. Which isn't very punk..

  • what they need to get is a proper job and give this excuse of a band up

  • they are so shit.

Punk is so shit these days.. The genre died in the 80s, the only thing close to a good post punk revival band that comes to mind aren't even British.. they are american and died in 1994 along with kurt cobain.. yup nirvana. I know they are grunge.. but punk is about the message and the band's of today lack a message, a purpose if you will?

  • Kurt Cobain rocks! All the 'new' music got shit after he died, Towers of London are one of the few rock bands we have now, you pwn xD x

  • you say that, but really what is the most punk thing he could do at this stage in his life. do a butter commertial. jon ldon has alas been about doing what u want to do and being who you want to be. little did he know he was starting the punk movement which has its codes and is just as conforming as anthing else. johnn rotton will not conform, and the butter advert shows this i think

  • oh that so punk and rock.

    fuck you this is 2009.

lets create/support our own era for fucks sake.

  • ok but 15 years isnt that long
