SWITCHED AT BIRTH - Part 1

True story of two babies switched at birth at a small Florida hospital in late 1978. The switch is only discovered because one of the babies had a severe heart problem and her blood was not compatible with her parents'. The girl dies at age 10 and her parents go on a quest to find their biological daughter. I have read articles since this movie came out indicating the poor daughter jumped from her father that raised her to her biological family and back again. She even filed a "divorce" from her biological parents and she won. She married young, had a son and lost custody of him. She has suffered immeasurably because of this mix up and the hospital has no explanation of how this happened. Needless to say, the hospital paid big time in law suits for this mistake.

@unloveable84 So do I love the oldies true stories. That's why I have uploaded so many of them. You can get this movie by going to Amazon.com. They have it in VHS only. But if you have a DVD/VHS combo recorder with dubbing, you can dub it onto a DVD. That's what I did with all the VHS tapes I had. I recommend Amazon for all the hard to find movies you are looking for. Hope this helps!

So how were the babied switched? Weren't they both wearing hospital bracelets?

@digigirl986 That's a question that will never be answered. The hospital has never figured out how the bracelets were switched. Or at least that's what they say. They settled with the Twiggs and Bob Mays. Amount of settlement was never disclosed. Needless to say it was undoubtedly in the millions.

@HikaruYamamura I'm not sure exactly what you think a grandma is supposed to be or do, but I am retired. I am also disabled. Due to a severe leg injury long ago, I will be on crutches permanently. I enjoy learning about and using computers and I enjoy YouTube videos very much.
