i have 2 real karambits, both are foldable and legal where i live. i mainly use them as utility knives but i know hkw lethal they are
-
nasty! i cringe with every cut made!

@yinyangcircle123 the karambit/kerambit is commonly used in filipino martial arts as well, just so you know...
Oh and in Malaysia and Indonesia, they call it "kerambit", while in the Philippines, they call it "karambit".

@amirisanidiot kerambit or karambit, it doesn't matter. Malay is a language propagated using Jawi script. There's more than one way to pronounce a syllable, thus all the accents across Nusantara. Transliterating from Jawi to Roman script, breaks the uniformity in spelling (despite dialects or accents) previously achieved in Jawi.

In one word: Kill

dude its kerambit not karambit.....thx 4 supporting malay silat btw

The karambit is very devastating! I definitely respect the curved blade! I have seen first hand destruction of this blade and I have also seen what can happen if you if you get cut by this , Its the emergency room for anyone and you'll be lucky if it's only a few stitches.respect the blade.

interesting...so basically the purpose of a karambit would be to decieve ur opponent into thinking its empty hands....i wonder if escrima could adapt to using this

Hook knives are the most destructive and powerful, they inflict wounds proper of bigger blades. They are the claws that nature didn't gave us. Thanks for sharing!
