What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? - Blanche Knows

Desperate to stay alive, Blanche enters Jane's room and finds some old chocolates. However, she soon discovers her sister's immense hatred for her. She also discovers Jane has been forging and cashing her disability checks and spending money without her knowledge.

This scene actually do not picture real chocolates. Joan Crawford was averse to chocolate, and she had had her maid wrap up "tiny chunks of chopped meat" in the candy box. Unaware of the substitute, Bette, during a break in the filming, reached for one of the fake bonbons. She began to chew then gagged.

"Christ!" said Bette.

"Protein, Bette, protein," said Joan. "It's good for you."

"Balls!" said Bette.

Poor Blanche:(. i remember watching this with my mom and i'd be like oh no blanche will get in trouble for eating those chocolates and my mom was like to hell with that she's hungry. i'd do the same thing. lol. this movie is great. thanks for the clip:)

@lizclegg She finds out that Jane has been stealing her cheques and forging her signature. Oh she also scribbled over a picture of Blanche when she was famous, but that's par the usual for crazy Baby Jane.
