Third and final excerpt of the History channel special about Miyamoto Musashi, presented by Terry Schappert Yoshimochi Kiyoshi Sensei is the 12th successor of Hyoho Niten Ichi Ryu and shihan from Sekiguchi ryu.
This segment talks about Gorin no Sho, or The book of five rings, Musashi sensei's greatest work, and about the Niten Ichi Ryu, his living legacy.

  • You guys are 100% right. What an incredible honor to be given bokken by on of the world leading swordsman and the direct decedent to Miyamoto Musashi, I nearly teared up as well. The sense of honor and kinsman-ship, its wonderful.

  • He was really, really touched by the gift, he was holding back tears, that was awesome, such a real moment! I think as a special forces guy he was really inspired by musashi and to have his successor give him those gifts was such a moving thing for him.

  • To truly get an objevtive sense of Musashi read The Lone Samurai The Life of Miyamoto Musashi by William Scott Wilson. It is a great read and full of additional information then read The Five Rings. Enjoy!
