Here's the last day of KKDJ (102.7 FM) format prior to flipping to it's AM counterpart KIIS (AM 1150) simulcating throughout the day..... this continued until 1981, when KIIS-AM (1150 AM) became KPRZ (K-Prase) and hired the fired jocks from KMPC 710 AM. In late 1983, KPRZ became, once again KIIS, and simulcated both Rick Dees (6-10AM) and Big Ron (2-6PM) with it's own jocks in between. This lasted until the early 1990's. Enjoy

  • In mid 1975, KIIS (AM 1150) began to simulcast with KKDJ (FM 102.7,) The FM station took the AM call letters of KIIS, and began the birth of “KIIS-FM.”.) Both stations continued to simulcast from 1975 to 1981, where the AM station became “K-Prase” (KPRZ AM 1150) until late 1983 where the AM, again, to simulcast KIIS-FM (102.7 FM) until the early 1990’s. Enjoy
