Last Day of KKDJ (102.7 FM) and First Day of KIIS (102.7 FM and 1150 AM) - 1975

Here's the last day of KKDJ (102.7 FM) format prior to flipping to it's AM counterpart KIIS (AM 1150) simulcating throughout the day..... this continued until 1981, when KIIS-AM (1150 AM) became KPRZ (K-Prase) and hired the fired jocks from KMPC 710 AM. In late 1983, KPRZ became, once again KIIS, and simulcated both Rick Dees (6-10AM) and Big Ron (2-6PM) with it's own jocks in between. This lasted until the early 1990's. Enjoy

In mid 1975, KIIS (AM 1150) began to simulcast with KKDJ (FM 102.7,) The FM station took the AM call letters of KIIS, and began the birth of “KIIS-FM.”.) Both stations continued to simulcast from 1975 to 1981, where the AM station became “K-Prase” (KPRZ AM 1150) until late 1983 where the AM, again, to simulcast KIIS-FM (102.7 FM) until the early 1990’s.
