Head of military council says decades-old state of emergency to be lifted on Wednesday, except for cases of "thuggery".

This guy is supposed to be a Nubian but he quickly declared an Arab identity and for Arab-occupied Egypt and Arab conquered land. This was yet another opportunity (unless the Europeans did not want it) to bring Egypt back to what it was and kick the filthy arabs out!

Tantawi deserves to hang next to Mubarak on the gallows. What happened in Egypt was a revolution. Revolution is systemic change. My impression, from talking with people, is that systemic change hasnt taken place. Hopefully January 25 serves as a prelude to the actual revolution.
