Lumeneye underwater subsea laser scan of hand

In this short video clip we show a point cloud model of a hand which was placed under the path of our underwater subsea laser scanner. Note the definition of folds of skin around knuckles, fingernails and the presence of a washer on the base of our testing tank.

Finally, we record reflectivities from the target, so in addition to the 3D data, you are also able to see the texture of the object. Note the presence of moles on the skin.

We are actually able to scan hairs on the arms; these have been filtered out in this image for clarity.

Resolution of this system is around 0.01mm. Sampling was achieved in real time.
