this is a major throw-back. i remember [vaguely] when my gradmother bought me the Emergency! toy set for christmas one year. would anyone happen to know the year the set was released? of course i dont have it anymore, and have many times regretted it. i was a destructive kid, and grandma died in '80 i think. anyone with info about the set, please send it to my fatsadie account. thatks!!

Hello fatsadie, I don't remember the toy set but one year my brother and I got the Emergency! board game for Christmas. I can't remember which year but it had to be in the late 70's/early 80's. I still have the game and now my 11 year old son enjoys playing it. Oh, you might try checking out eBay to see if anyone has the toy set for sale. :o)

I LOVED this show as kid! All of my school freinds did as well.

I had the Thermos brand metal lunchbox!

The only thing I remember of it, was that the front of the lunchbox had the scene where the kid gets his head stuck between the vertical metal bars of a metal fence.

BTW, the ladies (and girls) of the day did go a bit ga-ga over Randy Mantooth! He was of native American heritage, if my memory serves.

I am 19 years old I am completely addicted to this series. I can't find anything on TV these days that is as awesome as this.

I am surprised not to see any comments about how funny Chet is. Johnny is my favorite character, but Chet is always good for a laugh.
