Suchandra devi is what my Gurudev gave to me. I add dasi as it means maid servant......I like to think of my self being a maidservant of God...

My old name was Siddhanta Sarasvati .....:-P Well, for each individual I think it will be different depending on the person you know? I was born in a devotee family. I studied my Gurudev's books for 8 months before I met him. I had already decided that I really wanted him as my guru. I cried and cried and asked him to accept me. He mercifully did. Maybe you have to cry and then you pass the test :-)
