  • I wish I could play Club.. I started on 3 row and stuck there.. since less chromatic possibilities but more chords and simple thirds and sixths stuff.. Club appears limiting..but really can do a lot. Unfortunately it fell way out of use ..

  • Thanks for pointing out the grammar error. Bought a Hohner Club 3B ten years ago, not knowing the difference between the keybord layouts. I learned on a piano accordion and always wanted a button box. Tried out a 3 row and found it very difficult to play after learning the club.

Ended up trading my piano in on a better Club with 4 reeds and a couple extra 7th chords on the bass side. I try to play all kind of music. It is hard to learn, but it works for me.

  • Yes, the use of the buttons on the inside row depends on the kind of music you are making and, if needed, they are not useless. Most music played on the more widely played 3 row ( GCF etc )accordion like this one appears to be, doesn't call for a row of accidentals. ( P.S. You are is spelled you're rather than your ).

  • Your right, the layout does not look like a standard 3 row club. But your wrong about the inside row buttons being usless. I play a club, and I use all the buttons in the inside row, in every song.

  • Pfff. This is a Concertina. It is not Brazilian but Portuguese. 3 Row diatonic concertinas are the main instrument of Portuguese folklore. These are German instruments that has substituted traditional Portuguese ones like Bag Pipe for example. Thats how they got to brazil. These instruments do not have all Notes. There is most of them and they are very versatile. The same button play 2 notes. One opening and another closing. And he has no clue what he is doing...

  • yes a pointless video. dont think he knows what hes doing

  • that doesn't look like a club to me. and there's no gleichton key either. that's a standard 3-row, and it isn't exactly functionally chromatic.

  • Probably a 3 row GCF diatonic.. if CLUB than you have some extra useless buttons on the inside row.. I didn't really get the purpose of this video .. nor the expertise part. Lots of this on Expertvillage unfortunately.
