The Colorsound Overdriver Pedal
Musictoyz.com video demo, includes a quick chat (some say too much talking !) on the pedal, then 3 sound samples that highlight this monster mid-range overdrive pedal. If you want honk this is the pedal, just has that sagging british lead and chord sound !
So what's the difference between the Power Boost and the Overdriver ?? Um . . . .nothing ! Except the case . The Power Boost was born in the late sixties - the idea was to give guitarists a boost . . . . . in power , and it did ! Guess it was just luck that when you turned the pedal up full it sounded like the best stack ever !
All Colorsound pedal are available at Musictoyz.com -

I have an original, it has the Drive, Treble and Bass knobs, but doesn't have the Level control on the side. It's pretty much a leave it on all the time effect as without the level control it's so LOUD! The sound really cuts through, on mine the drive pot is logarithmic, it's quite similar in drive most of the way round, then the last little bit it goes madly fuzzy. The rhythm guitarist in an old band of mine used to use it - he made a clip on the base and used to wear it on his belt!

the line6 distortion modeler is more extreme and has less dynamic (range) variations (dynamic range means intensity fluctuations)
therefore the distortion modeler sounds more compressed
the Colorsound Overdriver is more smooth, sweet and real but uncompressed - prefer it
the line6 distortion modeler is a mass product on e-bay
(you can buy the line6 to use all the pedal clones in one apparatus
if you don't have the money to buy all the originals)
the Colorsound Overdriver is harder to be found

@JacobSmithUK He did used a Coloursound pedal but it was a "powerboost" which has an orange colour. This is the "Overdriver"

So you can tell what position it's in? Ever heard of 1 o'clock, 10 o'clock etc positions? If you just have a plain round knob with no index, how the heck are you going to know where its at?

Why have a "Chicken Head" pointer knob when there are no numbers for the volume control? A round knob would be easier to turn with your foot.
