Jake Shields owned the stand-up, Robbie said in the post fight interview that Shields body kicks would of "had an effect after a couple rounds" and he said "Shields was throwing hands he wasn't backing off the striking thats for sure"
The commentators finally got on Shamrock to stop bringing his personal feud with Shields into the broadcasters booth during the Hendo fight.

@mooseses2 Yeah, I was high when I typed that so it wasn't worded as well as it could have been. I didn't give the full story about the fight. He threw the first punch and I side stepped it, punched him in the liver, he tackled me, so I got him in a guillotine before he could ground and pound my face in. End of story.
