Dentzel Carousel at Glen Echo, Maryland, a great piece of art in its own right: each animal is so craftily carved, and so beautifully polished. I haven't seen ever a more beautiful merry-go-round.

  • Beautiful !!

  • @lsukitten thanks for your visit!

  • 3 Wurlitzer 165 organs are still playing for public view. This one at Glen Echo Park, at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in California, and there's one at the Circus World Museum in Barabo Wisconsin.

  • @koasterkav Thanks for this info. Maybe one day I will see the ones in california and Wisconsin

  • Very nice video. One of the best Dentzel carousels out there, and one of only 3 Wurlitzer model 165 band organs in public view playing. The carousel was restored a few years ago.

  • Thanks for visiting my channel. This carousel is a great art work.

  • Aren't there only 2?

  • Most antique carousels are great artwork. Dentzel carousels are among the very best.

  • Thank you for this information. It is precious, because it adds t the charm of this marvel.

  • The Wurlitzer 165 band organ is playing "Somewhere On Broadway" (Carroll & Gamble, 1917) from roll no. 6532.
