    "That's impossible, WHERE'S ASUKA?!"

    "She's in Room 303, I've confirmed it!"

"Then who the HELL is piloting it?"

  • @TruthinessChibiOtaku I think it would be better if it were like the Shawshank Redemption. Just soaking up the music through the feeling instead of the words meaning themselves. I don't know what they are saying but I don't think I really want to. Emotions can paint a better picture than any words can.

for everyone in the world to sing or hear when our World ceased to exist.

  • @19MAD95

I understand that fully. Ode to Joy is my favorite classical piece and it's so beautiful. (I wish I knew the lyrics but there in German, even though I can speak German it's only insults and common phrases. However, I know exactly what the lyrics are in English XP). I just started watching this anime and I love it so far. No, but what I like about Ode to Joy is that because it's about uniting man against the forces that aim to destroy us, it would be an awesome song...

  • What the fuck does this have to do with Evangelion?

  • i have to sing this song in chior but not in tjis version

  • @TruthinessChibiOtaku its not apocalyptic in the end of the world sense, what the writer of the lyrics to this song was aiming for is far more complex. He intended this song to express the unities of man through horrible tragedies such as the Apocalypse. its all in the lyrics.

  • @foty7

i needed to change my pants thrice, for dat comment, for dat nostalgia of the show, and for dat song.

  • If there's anything Evangelion and Read or Die have taught us, it's that Beethoven's Ode to Joy works in ANY anime; ESPECIALLY during fights and explosions!

  • "I mustn't run away, I mustn't run away, I mustn't run away."

  • @TruthinessChibiOtaku Technically this is played in the episode (#24) before the end starts (25' and 26') , but this is still best scene in the anime for me. Komm susser tod by Arline was used for the apocalypse secquence.
