@CWAowner I used to watch these on Friday afternoons, except 22 November 1963, in black-and-white. Having studied a little Japanese, I now understand why Joe Jitsu messes up verbs. Nonetheless, it IS a cartoon, not to be taken seriously.

That's a very good question, crispt. I don'[t know the answer.
Here's another one. How is Joe Jitsu able to throw numerous top heavy objects using only his skinny arms?
If he was maneuvering his hips and using them as leverage as a three-dimensional martial artist would, that would be a little more understandable.
But Joe seems to be able to execute those throw using only his arms.

Bloody hell ! Haven't seen this in years. Used to have quite a few episodes on a video. Don't have it anymore though. However, Pruneface and Itchy were the only villains i could remember.
As for Joe-Jitsu, due to fucking political correctness these days. You wouldn't be able to get away with making a character like that now would you?
Apart from that. great to see this again.
