@TheDeathsmarch you can tell the height of the bird by counting how long it takes to hit the water. In this particular episode there are multiple occasions when these hunters make comments like "that duck was way out there" Its obvious the birds they are shooting are 50+ when shooting at them.

what might seem as skybusting to you, is just another shot for sombody else. all of our waterfowling equipment can vary. and its up to the hunter himself to know how his equipment works. in this case, they had the right equipment to take ducks from that distance.

First of all you have no idea how far away the decoys are away from the hunters. Second you need to understand how other animals survive. When one of the injured ducks fall another animal survives off of that animal that we kill and cant find. It happens in every kind of hunting. Get your facts strait.

Dude, that can happen shooting them at 7 yards or 70 yards. You are right it happens all the time. Ducks get crippled all the time. By you, by me, ny every duck hunter on the damn water. Try Sea Duck hunting, You can shoot a scoter at 10 yards almost 5 times and that doesnt kill them half the time. So get a tissue and whipe your tears just because you cant get a duck to decoy.
