A day before this particular performance, a bee stung me on my left index finger, making it swell into a giant red sausage thing... so my finger hurt like hell and I could barely move it for this performance, but I suffered through it 'cause it was important.

I don't know who your director is/was, but if I were him, I'd be spitting hot coals at some of your fellow musicians for walking around and messing with sheet music during your performance. I was in band and orchestra once myself, and the most disrespectful thing you can do during a solo is move around and make noise of any kind. It's a disgusting lack of courtesy, and they should be ashamed for it.
