@Glenn1967ful . . . and then see millions added to the dole queue as ITV collapses.
ITV is a single network now simply because they wouldn't be able to compete as 15 small companies doing their own things against the behemoths that are Sky, Virgin and Freeview. Consolidation was the only way for ITV to survive.
If you don't adapt to changes, you die out. Simple as. Survival of the fittest.

Good organ playing, eh? At first, I couldn't even recognise the tune that was being played!
-
nice song

It's a church organ, not a Hammond, although I agree that this sounds a bit crap!
-
actually, Birmingham Cathedral Organ!

This rendition of 'God Save The Queen' might be enough to make the hair on the back of one's neck stand on end, it's got that much kick to it. O.o

That's a really crap rendition of the National Anthem on a Hammond organ. I can't believe ATV were that amateurish. Even boring old Yorkshire TV were more professional than that at closedown.
Smash the modern rubbish ITV and bring back the regions with their idents, start up sequences and closedowns. ITV is rubbish nowadays because the regions have gone and the programmes are awful.

Perhaps the "church organ" version of the national anthem is my favourite and there is another one with that played with a picture view of Birmingham which has been uploaded by Chris.
