I had to wear those fracken underwear when I had surgery, and (whilst still under the drugs) I yelled at the nurse about how I didn't have a baby and so I shouldn't have to wear those...and if I did have a baby, to show me it...apparently the nurses found this pretty funny.

How did you know or feel that this was the best way for you?

I had all three of my children at home and i could not imagine having them i hospital. my shortest labor was 3 hours my longest was 4 and a half. My last child was 10 pounds when he was born. So congrats on the baby and the home birth. You are an amazing person.

@cannelo1986 It's totally NOT free. You WILL receive a bill in the mail, just as if you went to the ER.

by law you don't have to have an insurance to deliver a baby in a hospital, it is FREE not only for US citizens but for anyone who is having a baby!
