The bible can't save you but if you use it as toilet paper it will save a tree.

You are in your right to criticize religion.

Everything should be held under skepticism but the choice of words is what was rude. For example if some disagreed on a scientific hypothesis and was to be critical of it, it would be unprofessional to say ' Did your hypothesis come from sticking your head in a toilet bowl?'. No matter how ridiculous the hypothesis is it would still be rude to say it in such a manner and that is what i meant by rude, not that religion is not to be criticized.

All I said was a lot of paper with poorly distributed ink was of no value. I was not rude to anyone. Our artistic taste may differ and our politics also. Why does religion deserve some special position. Please explain.

Thank you, Mr. Information. But still, do you have any rational reason for thinking that ridiculing religion is offensive? The fact that somebody gets offended doesn't mean it is offensive objectively.

Why is it rude? There is nothing rude about ridiculing somebody's stupid opinions.

exactly, the nuts also have the peanut-free christians on their side most of the way to. i'll never understand how people are so terrified by obama claiming he's trying to make slaves of america when there are literally politicians and lobbyists trying to take away freedoms and making discrimination legal

That is my fear also. It must be remembered that the Nazis were far from a majority party when they gained power in Germany with the same kind of wild emotional rhetoric. That is why even the everyday mainstream Christians worry me, because the core of their belief is basically the same as the loons. This was the case with the Nazis too. Most Germans were just nice, workaday folks, but the antisemitism and Christian rhetoric of the party were shared ideas they could build on.
