  • 2:06 that guy looks like he's floating. :)

  • oh yeah caught a coupla fat 'bows' around some boat sheds..drank a little beer. It doesn't have to be mutually exclusive dudes and dudettes. We should be good stewards and treat it and each other with all the respect allowed.

  • just to give you an idea of the how the river can b. the owner of the rental had been working on a new kevlar canoe that these drunks guys brought back that day. the canoe was ripped nearly in half just behind the rear seat. Literally the last 2 feet aft was flopping down the side and through the gunnel. The guy was stitching it back together with #6 copper wire, he was hot, his stuff was new/nice. He said they hung it up in Hueco and it nearly pulled in two. So my buddy tells him about us.

  • never been in a canoe,w ater was running fast. Put in I think it was called 2nd or 3rd crossing...guy I was with said ..important later today we will come to a bunch of tubers and remind me to go r/l or we will go over the dam.. Sure ok ....about 6 hours later this guy who is as salty as they come and is never rattled ...looks apprehensive to say the least and goes oh --- hang on we're going over ...I have no idea how far to the bottom it is ..i'm in front and all I can c is sky/hear fiberglas

  • @xFu510nx this area is a bit before pandorosa?

  • Slumber falls dumps more people than anywhere else, we used to dive and recover stuff for the tourists, haha good times, I was at the mill bridge dam today.

  • lol on the "traffic jam"

  • Yup. I live right next to this river. Its great just sitting out there watching tube collisions

  • was there memorial day weekend, it was awsome, and i didnt fall off one time..lol

  • im not gona lie. i got owned big time lol

  • im going there next friday cant wait

  • @uniden600 im one of those drunks!

  • Kayak the upper and lower guad and seen probably one cottonmouth- the rest, "loads" of them, were all diamondback water snakes. Mistaken for cotton mouths all the time

  • You know, I'm not into tubing at all, parties neither. But that damn river is frick gorgeous. I've seen every bridge crossing from way up North in the hills down to Victoria. Parts of that river are loaded with Akistrodon piscivorous.......the western cotton mouth water moccasin. Just reviewed some photos of my last trip to the guadulupe photographing Akistrodon.

  • cool!

  • its so funny watching drunks go do the river.

  • that actualy looks quite dangerous

  • Oh man I miss going down that river and drinkin' beers. I gotta get there this summer and camp.

  • Clutter Rapid + low water + drunken ignorant tubers + me watching = bliss

  • I'm with ya... Hey the Frio River is a great example of a compromise of conservation and fun. You can tube that river and not see another person for hours but see plenty of fish. It is a very clean river and family friendly. Maybe its good that the Guadalupe is like it is so the crowds don't flock to some of the other rivers.

  • whether it be for fishing, or tubing.

god i have a lot of hippy crap to spew on this issue, dont i. but god damnit, it's so fucking true.

  • but it is also true that fishing could be great on the guadalupe all year round like some of the great rivers in the catskills, montana, and alaska. The locals at least made the initiative to get rid of Styrofoam and glass, which was a big help for the river. All im saying really in the end is if you are going to use the river, at least be aware that it is more than just a place to get wasted. It's a beautiful river that should be protected so our grandkids can enjoy it in the future.
