  • One would have to have experienced 50+ knots of wind and the resultant wave action to know. I have done so many times; usually with a lot less sail carried and often bare-poled or laying ahull with a sea anchor deployed from the bows windward fairlead and the tiller lashed to leeward. No way is this video showing 50 knots of wind and wave action. No way.

  • Look lads im not one to talk shit, I don’t want to argue about how much it was blowing with people who were not there and are basing their opinions on I very bad quality video. It was windy OK- fu*ken windy, take my word for it. Look at all my other vids, I have done a lot of sailing and been through a lot of storms. Appreciate it for what it is. Take your own video of some great sailing, don't just pick apart others.....

  • @sailingunlimited Remember 50kts is not really that much wind. you are talking about it like its survival conditions but in that stuff we are still racing.

  • I drove many diferent boats.

Mostly Bavarias and Lagoons. It is my job. I am a skipper for renting.

And this is NOT 50 Knots!!!

  • To give you an idea, I am also a professional sailor, and have done WAY more than you will ever do....

look at the rest of my videos. there is lots of proof there if you dont believe me.

some of the offshore races i have done- Sydney Hobart x 3, Tasman triangle, Transatlantic, Capetown to Rio, Fastnet, Transpac, Middle sea race, Auckland to Fiji x2, Auckland to Noumea x2, Round North island 2 handed, HK to Vietnam race x 2, china sea race, 120,000nm offshore sailing.

  • Google search 2007 middle sea race for the reports, we finished 3rd out of the 15 finishers and 75 starters. the race is from malta, around sicily and stromboli then back. all the locals said this was the worst storm int he area for many years, some saw over 60kts but we only saw 55kts max.

  • There is absolutely no way that piece of footage depicts 50 knots of wind.It may be that such wind speed was registered during the course of the passage; who knows? What is shown is around 30 knots of wind, maybe a bit more.

  • You are a muppet, you deliver bavaria's and lagoons, they are the caravans of the sea..... I bet you sail with the autopilot the whole time.... have you been around cape horn??? I HAVE... in fact not only around the horn but 2000nm through the southern ocean and around cape horn on an open 60 without a mast under jury rig.

  • @tomperanteau I ask you again, how many languages do you speak?

I think no more, but english!

you are a stupid man. Someone had shit in your brain. american gaylord.

  • @OezkanOOOO LOL! You're a funny little person. You are becoming boring though, so I'll leave you to try to rile someone else, because you just make me laugh at you.

Maybe you should spend you time working and improving your country instead of blaming others for your problems. From what I read, your country is a mess, and after seeing your responses, I understand why.

  • he is filming under the lower line of the reling. of course, from this view al waves look big. you know nothing
