@hobari Hmm, mine unfortunately don't disappear. I tried two coats of Meguiars NXT 2.0 paste and nothing. I've already contacted my LBS about it (only had the bike for 2 days.) It's not a HUGE issue but if the Trek rep can show me that it is normal, I'll be fine. :)
After riding with Di2, I don't know how I could go back to cable shifting. So precise and the f/d shifts so quickly. I went with the H2 fit too. I had read about Andy's chain watcher...lol. Thanks again for all the info.

Just got my bike yesterday night and finally got out for a ride today. Wow...what an awesome machine. Di2 is just insanely nice, super crisp and fast shifting and absolutely no misshifts. I think my only gripe is that the Onyx Carbon shows what look like "scuffs" in the clear-coat and are very noticeable in direct sunlight. Does yours have this as well? At first I thought it might be the carbon weaving showing through but I'm not so sure and it's hard to find others with this bike. :) Thx.

Another question for you:
Is this an H1 or H2 fit frame?

@hobari Thx. I was at my LBS and they had a red/carbon/white one there. I was having a hard time deciding over a custom white/black or the standard onyx carbon so the sales guy took the bike outside and I got to see the nice metallic look to the paint. Wow. The other incentive: Onyx Carbon would be ready in 24 days versus 60-80 for the custom. Can't wait for my bike to arrive! I got to ride the Trek rep's Di2 6.9 and that convinced me to go Di2 - it really blew me away. So excited... :)

Yep- I have noticed scuffy looking blotches from time to time, and especially so in direct sunlight. But they seem to disappear when I clean and polish my bike. I descended 3000 ft in a thunderstorm today, and man, was it one sorry dirt splattered bike when I stopped. The good news is that it cleans right up. Good luck with the Di2, there is a really funny post bout Di2 on Velonews.com under an article about Andy Schleck's 6.9 SSL with Di2.

H2 - although everyone has their own preferences, it's my sweet spot.

Yes, this is the default paint scheme -- looks much better in real life, it has a reflective black carbon matte finish, not at all glossy. Go for it. Aside from looking good, it is one fast bike!
