Just Music. Mario Lanza & Frances Yeend sing "Parigi, O Cara" from "La Traviata" by Giuseppe Verdi in this recording from their 1947 live concert at the Hollywood Bowl, the same concert where Louis B. Meyer discovered Mario Lanza. The conductor is Eugene Ormandy.

  • Bravo Mario Lanza!!!!

When he starts singing "Pa-a-rigi o ca-a-ra noi lasceremooo" -it brings tears in my eyes.

Probably the greatest tenor ever, considering he lived only 30 somthing years.

  • Outstanding! These two had exceptionally beautiful voices and sang so perfectly together. It's a thrilling performance.

  • full of tender, airy, effortless, music making. At first he sounds just like Juan Diego Flores, the notes just float like vapors into our appreciative ears!
