  • We need economists who can think like ecologists. L.Brown

  • @gmihut I completely agree with you. Population control has to be compulsory sooner or later even if religious leaders do not agree with that.

  • @2009puma This is only a theoretical issues

We will never do it based on voluntary way. Special with religious people without any logic of thinking.

  • @rakeeb2008 Remember: You can't fool mother nature!

  • well this sounds much better than the way we live now...

  • How can anyone stop population growth if most religions do not accept that?

  • It is fair to say, in case there is a global food shortage, the hurban population will suffer the most since food prices would rise to an unaffordable rate. Therefore it is wise for city dwellers to prioritize becoming more self sufficient, by learning ways in which to grow their own food in case there is such a food crisis.

  • For many a year it has been well known that we could feed the world and eradicate poverty with what food we had if we distribute fairly, eat less meat (7kg grain for 1kg beef), farm preserving ecology (minimise soil erosion, water use etc), better public transport systems, more ecological energy production and help women get education and family planning to limit population growth.

The Earth Institute has the answers and so can everyone who reads more, Start with plan B, now on PLan 4B.

  • He is not an exciting entertainer - just a serious researcher with some alternative answers that might just work in time for us not to self-distruct.

  • I find it hard to believe that poverty can be eliminated world wide. Where are the resources going to come from to do this? Who is going to be asked to sacrifice? Why are there only two posts here?
