The SCADALink Locator helps people in Western Canada locate remote sites specified by LSD coordinates. Please visit http://www.scadalink.com/locator/ for more details.
LSD is the method used to divide Western Canada into one-square-mile sections. This survey method is widely used in the oil and gas industry to locate remote sites. However, mapping programs use the Latitude / Longitude geographic coordinate system.
Given the LSD for a wellsite location, to find the actual site, personnel must use methods that are not always convenient nor readily available.
The SCADALink Locator integrates seamlessly with Google Maps, Garmin nRoute and Garmin Mobile PC for GPS mapping.
1. Converts LSD/DLS, BC NTS or UWI to Latitude/Longitude
2. Displays the converted Lat/Long on top of standard mapping such as Google Maps and Garmin
3. Allows users to manage and share well information
