On my quest to build the greatest 3D LED matrix I thought i'd be a good idea to build a beat detector so the animations I eventually program into the project can adjust themselves to the beat of the music.
This is a fairly rough project, I hacked it together in a day, and I was drinking pretty heavily while tinkering (it was New Years Day - stop looking at me like that).
This version requires human input, so you need to hit a button to the rhythm for now.

Note: Unfortunately, YouTube keeps stripping out the music I was playing in the background, so just imagine that the light is blinking to the music - you can still see that the device continues to blink the LED to the rhythm I set tyough.
