The vet clinic was very busy today! I have waited like 1 and a half hour before Alera's turn. While I was there, I have taken some photos of the newly reconstructed kennel area as per request by the doc. There is one room with air-con, the luxury one; and all the kennels are monitor by CCTV, pretty cool. The attached photos is just one of the kennels :)

Let's come back to Alera. Today will be his last day of antibiotic injection as the doc said he might not need it anymore since there is not infection on the wound. The wound healed up very good to0!

  • YEAH!! I am so glad that Alera is getting better. Please give the Doctor a big THANK YOU for all of us.

  • Well, both wounds are looking so much better - it's truly amazing! The wound on the leg looks great. It is nice and pink looking - the tissue is growing back! If you took a still shot from the first day and compared it to a still shot in this video, the difference would be truly remarkable. :-) Good job, Thomas, Alera's vet, and Alera too (for being so brave and patient). :-)

  • The Vido is kinda choppy and jumpy but its good to see Alera's wound is getting better!!!!

  • Once again I have to say that you're truely amazing to have found Alera and had such patence with him. Most people would have given up by now, put him down from the start, or amputated both his legs because they were 'useless'. Alera is so lucky to have crossed paths together like this. I think it may have been fated :3

  • Glad to see Alera's doing better. I'm curious as to why he's biting himself like this..what d'you think could be the reason?

  • Alera's tail twitches because he has some pain from the wound. A cat without his disability would be swishing his tail back and forth but because Alera has diminished feeling and muscle control in his hind end, he can only manage a small vibration. You'll see his tail stops vibrating once the wound is bandaged again.

  • yeah!!! I am happy to hear such good news!

  • you go baby alera. wondering why when vet is working on his leg is his tail twitching all the time?

  • C'mon Alera, you can do it! ♥ ♥ ♥

  • This is really good news!

  • Great stuff!
